
The shape and connection structure of the high-strength bolt are basically the same as that of the ordinary bolt. The main difference between the two is that the ordinary bolt connection relies on the bar body pressure and shear to transfer shear force.
The working principle of the high-strength bolt connection is to apply a large pre-tension to the bolt intentionally, so as to generate extrusion pressure between the contact surfaces of the connected parts. Therefore, there is a lot of friction perpendicular to the direction of the screw rod, and the shear force of the connection is transmitted by this friction force. The pretension of the high strength bolt is realized by tightening the nut. The torsional shear type high strength bolt adopts the torsional bolt tail to control the pretension.
